Get Help With Your Writing Assignments

The University of Mary Writing Center is open to all students who want assistance with writing assignments. The center is staffed by trained writing consultants who are ready to work with students on a variety of writing projects.

How it Works

Students should bring copies of assignments, rough drafts, laptops, pens/pencils—whatever they may need—to the Writing Center and be prepared to work with a consultant. The Writing Center does not, in any sense, offer a drop-off editorial service. Rather, students receive constructive feedback on how to improve their writing assignments.

Students may submit their writing assignments online to the Writing Center anytime. A consultant will provide feedback during regular center hours. This service is also available to online and graduate students.

For our most recent writing center location, schedule, and a complete list of support opportunities, visit Success at UMary through the Canvas interface. Online or distance students can access the Writing Center by sending an email. they will be asked to complete the online submission form and should email information about the assignment and the rough draft they want feedback on to the writing center.
